It was a lovely warm evening. The air was electric. All the players were tall, bulky and oversized. The cheerleaders were “well padded” too. When the football-players clashed it was primal. The sounds. The smell. The atmosphere. And I had a seat practically at the same level as the field. Close. It was frantic, hectic and mental.
